Signals in. Decisions out.

AI engineer and full-stack developer. I build machine-learning pipelines, decode brain signals, and ship the software that sits around them.

Master’s final-year project

A brain switch,
stress-tested.

Detecting when someone moves from rest to a command, from 30-channel EEG, for a person the model has never seen. The interesting part was not the model. It was proving the number meant something. Scroll to follow the work and the numbers it produced.

  1. 01
    Record

Ten participants, two cue protocols, a 30-channel headset.

    10 participants · 28 recordings · 30 ch · 500 Hz

  2. 02
    Window

Causal filters with carried state. Nothing sees the future.

    2 s windows · 0.5 s hop · causal

  3. 03
    Describe

Covariance matrices, causal Riemannian re-centering, tangent-space features.

    covariance · tangent space · log-power

  4. 04
    Decode

Four decoders, scored on people the model has never seen.

    Riemann 0.671 · ShallowConvNet 0.666 · EEGNet 0.631 · ensemble 0.707 AUC

  5. 05
    Doubt it

Drift-matched nulls, a time-only control and an independent code review.

    null 0.489 · timestamp-only 0.811 vs EEG 0.514 · legacy audit 98% → 36%

  6. 06
    Replay live

A streaming decoder over Lab Streaming Layer, replaying a held-out recording.

17–19 ms per decision · every onset detected

  7. 07
    Verdict

Reported as it came out, including what did not work.

3-class 0.385 vs 0.333 chance · brain switch about 0.60–0.64 after review · push vs walk not decodable

Path

From small tools
to systems.

  1. 2023

    Licence final-year project

A role-based university portal with timetables, grades, exams, files and real-time chat, built with a teammate.

  2. 2024

    Algorithms and bioinformatics

String-matching algorithms from scratch with benchmarks, and a DNA sequence analyzer.

  3. 2025

    Master’s project begins

EEG baselines first, then an audit that found the leak, then a causal pipeline rebuilt around honest evaluation. A competition platform on the side.

  4. 2026

    Shipping

Stockily, Elevate Digital and a voxel engine, alongside the final EEG write-up and a real-time replay.
